Day 4: The Working Mom Curse
Are we cursed as moms if we choose to work a full-time job? Yes, every mother is a working mother. But it seems that the stress associated with working a full-time job, leaving your sick child at home, or rushing them to school is too much to bear sometimes.
But the question is. Are we really punished for having to work? Or is it a guilt that we put upon ourselves due to the pressures of the media? We have to evaluate the source of the guilt, and if it is not within our best interest, we need to make a plan to address it or leave it. We assume that other people at our jobs will look at us different for taking that unexpected day off. It’s time to feel guilt free and rid ourselves of this mental curse!

Here are some key strategies to eliminate the working mom curse and regain your sanity.
Today, create a list of items that stress you out when you think about work. Identify the true source of the stress and make a plan to address it or leave it. Your life and your family has too much value than to live a unhappy, stressed life.
